My wife and I are buying a camp on Sabattus Pond and I am interested in the fishing - where - when - for what? At our current camp on Highland Lake in Bridgton I have been responsible for the capture and release of some exceptionally large pickerel and am now anxious to become familiar with some other species.

Sabattus Pond has northern pike (24 lbs. 48" long is the largest I've heard about), pickerel, largemouth and smallmouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, sunfish, eel, hornpout and at the mouth of some streams, brook trout. I have also heard of an occasional brown trout, though these are few and far between.
