I was wondering if they're lowering the pond early and if it will be more than last year.
Also the lake seems worse than last year, do you know what's going on?
Thanks J gosselin

The pond will be lowered this year, but no more than last year. The start date of the drawdown has yet to be decided but it will be no later than October !5th. The water is worse this year, but it is still much better than a decade ago. We believe the weather this year is a big factor. Dan

I have noticed the water is still quite high this year. I live near the Nason's Beach area and my neighbor has lost quite a bit of his land due to the high water. Will the water level be dropped any more this year??

I have noticed the water is still quite high this year. I live near the Nason's Beach area and my neighbor has lost quite a bit of his land due to the high water. Will the water level be dropped any more this year?? this problemis due to high amounts of rainfall in the spring. much more than normal. if you have questions about the levels of the lake, it needs to be taken up with the Dam Commission. they meet every first monday of the month at the Sabattus Town Hall. SPWP has no jurisdiction over the levels of the water. Our focus is the cleanliness and how to make people aware of what affects the clarity of the lake.
